“First-time recording + river walkabout/collaboration/exploration between Gladys Harlow (aka. STREET RAT aka. MIA/PHL noise powerhouse aka. sleepless social justice fighter) and Steve Jansen (mem. of PLUMBING b/w race relations reporter/scholar) ode it up to Turtle Island in the U.S. Southwest. Recorded on Tiwa land next to the Rio Grande River in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the pair amplify the landforms via contact mic’d human-made sculptural barricades, the unamplified brown and yellow leaves of fall, and naked local plantlife. Abstract sounds for the antifa-proud. “
